Endurance Run Group

Are you looking for a group of people to run or walk with on Saturday mornings where the route and hydration are set up for you?  Are you planning to run an endurance event like a 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon or ultra marathon and would like the benefit of having a plan to follow?  Wouldn’t it be great if that plan you received was written by an RRCA level 2 certified coach who understands the nuance of training at altitude?  Or maybe you want a purely customized plan written with your fitness, goals and needs in mind?  Ultimately, would you like to be surrounded by like minded people, create a community and long lasting friendships together and if you are training for a particular race go into your goal race fully trained and ready to hit your goal?

My name is Coach Sheri Lubniewski.  I'm am RRCA Level 2 certified and I have been coaching for 10+ year.  I moved to Colorado in 2019 prior to which I headed spring and fall endurance training programs in local run clubs in the Chicago area. Finding nothing similar in Douglas County, I decided to take this opportunity to offer value to the local community and build relationships with the same ideals I had in the past.  

 

In this group you'll have the opportunity to purchase a variety of programs.  The first program being one where you have the opportunity to run or walk with a group.  You will pay a fee to join this group for long runs or walks every Saturday with the route mapped out and hydration provided roughly every 3-4 miles (you will still need to carry a water bottle to refill at hydration stations).  You decide how long you want to go that day!  The second option will still include the group running and hydration benefits described above  but will also provide a beginner, intermediate, or advanced endurance training plan on Final Surge. These plans are built for a 12-20 week training duration depending on the distance of the race.   The final program still includes the hydration and group runs on Saturdays but would also include a custom plan written by Coach Sheri tailored to your fitness, your goals and working around your work/life schedule.  This plan includes monitoring of each activity you do with positive constructive feedback in Final Surge.

All routes each Saturday will start at the Cherry Creek Trail in Parker and hydration will be provided every 3 to 4 miles.  Route distances and a maps will be provided to members in an email by the Thursday before each run.  If you are needing more distance than the route provides that Saturday you will need to create those miles on your own.

Start date is January 11, 2025 at 8:30 am.  Location will be emailed to you once you have signed up!  Time will change as the seasons change.  Runs may be canceled if trails are deemed unsafe due to inclement weather such as ice or lightening. 


Why choose an RWS Endurance running plan vs something you can download online for free?  Running plans online are written for sea level training.  There are nuances between training at sea level and altitude that will keep you training strong and not over trained which ultimately reduces your risk of injury.  You will receive pacing guidance, fueling ideas, hydration ideas and shoe guidance.  You will have the opportunity to ask coach Sheri questions at any of the Saturday group runs as well asking for race specific guidance for whatever race you have coming up.

 

​RWS Endurance is partnering with the Physical Therapists at Above it All Physical Therapy to give you even more guidance as you continue to progress in whatever program you choose.  Between gait analysis, functional movement screening, strength training and dry needling, Above it All Physical Therapy will keep you healthy and help you if you are injured.
